PR: Laurels reaps short film produced by Mārtiņš Grauds
On October 29 year 2009 creative fashion short film contest „Fashion is Passion” final event occurred in Riga Circus. Audience could acquaint themselves with fashion icon’s Diane Pernet recent short film collection „A Shaded View on Fashion Film” (ASVOFF).
Visitors could enjoy green fashion underground „ReUse RePublic” conception, watch the contest „Fashion is Passion” finalists’ works and take part in nomination ceremony of Latvia novel fashion and cinema expectancies.
The event was opened by entrance of adorable evening host Žanete Skarule, evening continued with introduction of creative fashion short film contest „Fashion is Passion” (FIP) jury, Diane Pernet speech and short film „A Shaded View On Fashion Film” watching.
„Fashion is Passion” offered next years FIP conception „ReUse RePublic” to visitors in the second part of the evening. Fashion show finished with entrance of huge illusion ball – it carried smiling evening host Žanete Skarule and a cheetah. Both raised astonishment in the audience.
After the exotic show evening continued with review of „Fashion is Passion” finalists’ short films and awarding ceremony of Latvia novel fashion and cinema expectancies. Avant-garde Diane Pernet presented to Mārtiņš Grauds and his short film „Lust Lust” a 3000 Euro money cheque and a „Fashion is Passion” Grand Prix.
Also the short film got fashion and lifestyle journal “Pastaiga” and “Pastaga.ru” award; it was presented by journals’ editor-in-chief Inita-Saulīte Zandere.
Viewers choice was Elīna’s Ļitvinova’s short film „Daydreaming” - it was awarded with 1000 Euro money cheque and presented by Dita Danosa - representative of “Latvia Fashion Fund”.
This year creative fashion short film contest „Fashion is Passion” is offered by “Latvia Fashion Fund” in cooperation with shopping canter “Domina” and international short film network „Future Shorts”. This cooperation has given unique chance for professionals and non-professionals from all Baltic States to prove their creative talent to wider audience and to let evaluate their work to professional and international jury from countries like France and Great Britain.
„Fashion is Passion” jury consisted of: jury commission chairman Diane Pernet - internationally known fashion journalist and author of fashion festival „A Shaded View On Fashion Film” (ASVOFF); fashion journalist and fashion project adviser from Great Britain - Robb Young; famous Lithuanian photographer Tomas Kauņeckas; admirer of the high fashion and fashion journalist form Latvia - Una Meistere; leading cinema reviewer form Latvia Dita Rietuma; “Latvia Fashion Fund” member of the board and journals “Pastaiga” editor-in-chief Inita-Saulīte Zandere; international short film network „Future Shorts” organizer Zane Čulkstēna.
Six crative wokrs were compeating for the main prize - 3000 Euro money cheque and the viewers’ choice - 1000 Euro money cheque. They were “Cucurbita pepo – bikini eko” (producer Elīna Lihaceva), “Lust Lust” (producer Martiņš Grauds), “Mareunrol`s Nightmares” (producer Kristīne Kursiša), “Daydreaming” (producer Elīna Ļitvinova), “Red Dress” (producer Jūlija Pauliņa) and “Mareunrol`s Private Detective” (producer Kristīne Kursiša).
„Fashion is Passion“ (FIP) is an international creative contest, it gives opportunity to young artists from Baltic States to prove their creative talent to professional and international jury and to show artists’ works to wide audience. „FIP” is a good base for young artists to make contacts in Baltic States and in worldwide level.
