Ineta Urtāne Ineta has studied at the Riga College of Applied Art, Textile Art department to become a designer, and currently studies fashion art at the Art Academy of Latvia. She has participated in the competition of Baltic professional education institutions „Intertextil Balticum” (2007). She has created two collections – „Dullā musha” and „Silver Fox”. Ineta was invited to participate in the „FIP New Cut” competition and, encouraged by her friends, decided to do that. She believes that it is a new experience and a chance to show her! |

Ignats Vaitis Currently Ignats studies the fashion design at the Art Academy of Latvia. He is a fashion designer and a multi-artist with a 10 years long experience in this area. As he says – this is his element! Ignats decided to apply for the competition because its concept and message seamed a good way how to express him. The talented artist saw a potential in this competition to bring in a new trend in society’s opinions on clothing and how it should be worn.

Līva Ķauķe-Saule Līva has graduated the Riga School of Design and Art and currently studies at the Art Academy of Latvia. She has acquired her professional skills in Berlin, Universität der Künste, and has participated at the Berlin Fashion Week during her studies. Currently she creates artworks, sold in different stores in Latvia, Germany and even USA. Līva decided to participate in the „FIP New Cut” competition, because she really desires to develop her skills as an individual fashion designer and to understand if it is possible to create a fashion, available for the economical level in Latvia.

Liene Dejus Currently Liene studies to receive her masters in Riga Technical University, Institute of Textile materials technologies and design, the “Material design and technologies” program. She has created two collections - „Cita industrija” and „Rapsodija”, as well as countless attires and accessories for these collections. Liene participated in the “Last Word in Fashion” competition with her collection „Cita industrija.” She decided to participate in the „FIP New Cut” competition, because she believes that it opens up a possibility to express her point of view and vision both in the context of personal creative expression and ecology, which lately has become the most positive and outstanding tendency.

Iveta Vilne Iveta is a young and talented fashion artist, who refines her skills and talent by studying at the Art Academy of Latvia. She participated at the „Fashion is Passion” competition in 2008, charity event „Lāči mazajām sirsniņām” (2009) and many other competitions and exhibitions, as well as worked as the decorator for the „Lindex” Ltd. She has developed two collections: „23:55” (2008) and „Par viņu” (2009). Iveta decided to participate in the competition to try out transforming of readymade clothes. But she sets a condition – it must be almost impossible to imagine that these items were something else before.

Zane Poriete Zane graduated Interior design and advertising at the Valmiera Art Secondary School. Currently this young fashion artist studies the fashion design at the Art Academy of Latvia. She has created two collections - „Lift Up” (2008) and „Rocky” (2009). |
