About FIP

"Fashion is Passion" (FIP) is an annual creative competition, whose origin can be traced to Latvia; however, in the course of time, its scope has extended to comprise all Baltic States and their artists. Thus, every young artist from the Baltics is provided an opportunity to show his/her creative talent and to allow the wider audience to see his/her works. FIP is a good starting platform for young artists, both in the Baltics, and on the international level – new contacts are established, and works of the participants are evaluated by a professional jury consisting of internationally acknowledged specialists.

In recent years it has become quite obvious that the social environment and economy cannot develop exclusively by relying on technological innovations. Creativity and related innovations are gaining an increasing significance – unique ideas, ability to take a look beyond the conventional boundaries of the product functionality and skills of introducing and developing these unique ideas. These form one of the cornerstones of our present-day new economy.

The young minds available around us, with their intangible ideas, are invisible national resources of immeasurable value. Therefore, it is significant to create the appropriate environment for stimulating the growth of creativity and development of these resources. The essence of FIP is to provide one’s own contribution into creation of this environment, in order to support young artists by increasing their value and that of countries they represent.

The FIP goal is to promote and challenge the creative potential hidden inside a person that could create ideas, art and fashion incorporated in the urban environment and become an integral part of the present-day culture.
