The contest this year would target short movies and photography:
The contest is open to all professional and non professional artists of any field from the Baltic (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia);
The main theme/ subject is FASHION with the following emotions from the Domina Emotional Legend: entertaining, urban, stylish, modern, special, attitude, sexy, international.
The contestants should create short movies of all genres with a length of 3-4 minutes (but not exceeding 7 minutes with a photo serial connected);
Films participating in Film Contest either can be completed or new film projects.
Total budget allocated is 5,000 euros to support the production;
Awards: First price 3,000 euros; public price 1,000 euros;
The work of the finalist could be used for the Fall/ Winter campaign of Domina Shopping;
Best films will be shown in Future Shorts session in September (8 times in the month);
Photo Exhibition and Films screening of all finalists in Domina during September
Selected works screenings and Award Ceremony in Riga public space.
FIP Short film screenings will be divided in 3 sections: 1. Contest 2. Special premiere / Out of competition 3. Fashion panorama (fashion short`s from the world).
FIP Short Film Production Fund 2009
Trying to support the Fashion and Film Industry in the Baltic, we combined the LatvianFashionFundation and Domina Shopping to create a film production fund for designers, film directors, visual artists or else artists interested; FIP is discovering talents of the tomorrow - professional and non professional young filmmakers / artists are invited to apply to the first call for applications in the FIP Short Film Production Fund 2009.
The total fund available to the Short Film Production Fund 2009 is 5000 euros and up to 10 films may be offered funding. Number of supported films may vary depending on the quality of the applications.
FIP Short Film Contest 2009 Completed Films
For Short Film Contest 2009 films must have been completed on January 1st, 2007 or after. Films which have been shown or awarded at film festivals are allowed to compete.
Required format for preview copy is DVD. Working language is English.
