1st round. Application and sketch submitting (31.10.2009. – 06.12.2009.)*.
Task: How to transform everyday clothing into interesting and attractive “piece of art”. The only limit for flight of imagination – the clothing must be casual.
Submitting documents:
- application form (fill in or download from FIP home page);
- „FIP new cut” clothing sketch;
- description of clothing sketch base components in English (from 100 to 150 characters);
- description of clothing emotional legend in English - for which gender, personality and situation the clothing is created, what is the message (from 150 to 250 characters).
Submitting materials:
- fill the application form on www.fip.com.lv home page and attach zipped application portfolio “competitors name_lastname.zip (not bigger than 5 MB);
- submit a CD at the shopping centre “Domina” information centre or send it by mail till 6 December, 2009 (post stamp) addressed to - contest „FIP new cut”, SC “Domina”, Ieriķu street 3, Riga, LV-1084.
Evaluation criteria: originality of the idea (10 p.), correspondence with contest rules (10 p.), possibility to implement a sketch (10 p.).
2nd round. Semi-final (14.12.2009. – 7.01.2010.).
14th of December, 2009, Tuesday – evaluation of submitted materials and announcement of semi-finalists who will have to implement their sketches.
6th of January, 2010, Wednesday – presentation of created clothing (according to clothing sketches),
7th of January, 2010, Thursday – jury evaluations and announcement of finalists.
Evaluation criteria: intelligence (10 p.), good design (10 p.), correspondence with contest rules (10 p.), originality (10 p.), clothing’s correspondence with submitted sketch (10 p.).
3rd round. Final (8.01.2010. – 11.03.2010.).
From 8th of January, 2010, until 14th of February, 2010, exhibition of finalists’ works and „FIP new cut” spring collection.
From 15th of February, 2010, till 19th of February, 2010, photo session of „FIP new cut” spring collection.
From 11th of March, 2010 - „FIP new cut” spring collection fashion show and announcement of winner (prize 1000 EUR).
"FIP new cut" implementation (from 12.03.2010.).
*Applications received after the set date will not be evaluated.
